Question: Are game tickets included?
Answer: No, but feel free to head downtown or tailgate if you don't care to enter the game.

Question: So what's the deal, are you a bus company or bus service?
Answer: In reality we are just a group of Hokie fans that share common interest in getting to Virginia Tech football games. We do not own any vehicles nor do we employ drivers. We simply gather enough Hokie fans together to make a bus trip from Northern Virginia economically feasible (dividing the cost of renting a bus and paying a driver via a third party and paying for parking at the game). We don't offer bus service to Blacksburg on-request as a result.

Question: Where does the bus leave from?
Answer: The bus leave from either Fair Oaks Mall, Ballston Common Mall (google maps) or Vienna Metro (google maps) depending upon the game time. Ballston and Vienna locations are metro accessible via the Orange line.

Question: When does the bus leave Northern Virginia to head to Blacksburg (home games only)?
Answer: The bus leaves approximately 6-7 hours prior to scheduled kick off time.

Question: Where does the bus park down in Blacksburg?
Answer: The bus will park on campus in lots designated by VT Parking Services. On Thursday night games the bus parks either on Washington Street or in the Parking Services lot located by the intramural fields on the hill behind Lane Stadium.

Question: When does the bus leave after the game?
Answer: The bus leaves 30 minutes after the game ends.

Question: Where can I find the bus if it is leaving from the Vienna Metro Station?
Answer: The bus will leave from the Fairfax/South Lot side of the Vienna Metro station, which is to the right as you exit the metro escalators. If you are driving, look for the Metro parking exits located near Nutley Street/123 exits off of I-66.

Question: Where can I find the bus if it is leaving from Arlington/Ballston Common Mall?
Answer: The bus will leave from Front Page Restaraunt and Grill (4201 Wilson Blvd
Arlington, VA), which is to the left and back down Stuart Street if you exit the Ballston metro escalators.
Parking is available at the Ballston Common Mall for a nominal fee ($1 on weekends).

Question: Where can I find the bus if it is leaving from Leesburg (FedEx field games only)?
Answer: The bus will leave from Potomac Station Commuter Lot (Potomac Station Dr & Rivercreek Pkwy).
Directions from Route 7: take the River Creek Parkway exit (stay right off the exit), turn right at the 1st light on Potomac Station Drive and lot will be immediately on your right (in front of basketballball/tennis courts).

Question: Will the bus remain in one location during the game?
Answer: Yes, though that location may change game-to-game the bus will remain accessible before, during, and after the game.

Question: What's the deal for the FedEx Field games?
Answer: One Hokie Pokie bus will leave Arlington at 2pm. A second bus will be departing from Leesburg, also at 2pm and will stop at Vienna Metro Station. Both buses park in the bus/RV lot located at FedEx field where they will remain all day and throughout the game. Tailgating is permitted in the bus lot but feel free to roam about and meet up with other Hokie fans and return to the buses as needed during the day.

Question: So how about a trip to the 2011 ACC Championship game?
Answer: We are monitoring the divisional race closely and a charter company is in agreement with us to send a bus down to Charlotte for the December 3 game. The trip is over two days, leaving on Saturday morning, December 3 and returning back on December 4.

Question: What if I am late for the bus?
Answer: Sorry, the Hokie Pokie bus can only wait so long. Refunds will not be given.

Question: Can I bring tailgating gear?
Answer: Yes. You can place all your tailgating gear, including large coolers, under the bus in the luggage storage area. If you wish to drink on the bus it is recommended that you use a small cooler that will fit under the seat.

Question: What is the refund policy?
Answer: A full refund will be given if a reservation is cancelled more than 72 hours before the trip. If a trip is cancelled for any reason refunds will also be provided.

Question: Can we drink alcoholic beverages on the bus?
Answer: Yes.

Question: Is there time to tailgate before the game starts?
Answer: Yes, we will try to be on campus about 1.5 - 2 hours prior to kick-off. This tailgateing window may be shortened for noon/early afternoon games in Blacksburg as well as Thursday night games.

Question: Do we get tickets for the bus?
Answer: No paper tickets are needed to board. You are added to a list upon making your online reservation. Please bring your confirmation email and ID to the bus to board.

Question: MUST we ride back on the bus?
Answer: No, but inform your bus host before leaving for the game. There is no discount for one-way travel.

Question: Must all passengers be at least 21 years old?
Answer: NO, however we STRONGLY ask that parents of young children consider this as an adult-oriented bus trip. There will be drinking, often times cheering, yelling, and other material that may be offensive or loud to especially young children.. We recommend you contact us via email if you plan to bring children and individuals under age 18 on the bus.

Question: Is there a bathroom?
Answer: Thankfully, yes. (Not on mini-bus charters, however)

Question: Does the bus stop along the way?
Answer: The bus may make seldom stops on its travels to and from its destination. This is to allow the driver and passengers to stretch and use municipal facilities.
